I have known Rachel for over twenty years in a variety of roles. She is a single-minded advocate for the community, a resourceful and caring businesswoman, and an enthusiastic and creative Operations Manager for this Benefice.
Rachel is hardworking, intelligent, passionate, and organised. She does not settle for second best and will work consistently to achieve the best possible outcomes. She has an eye for detail while also grasping the bigger picture. Rachel has exemplified professionalism at work at all times and appreciates straightforward and honest communication.
Her roles while engaged by the Benefice have been many and varied. From administration to strategic outreach, from organising events to creating a corporate image for the organisation, there is nothing that Rachel won’t do for the good of the company, from public speaking and being the face of the Church to helping the homeless with a tea and pot noodle.
Rachel has played a significant part in the development of the Benefice of Towan Blystra as it moved from being one single Church to six Churches across 64 miles. She has been the first point of contact for all the Churches and was crucial in implementing the communication system and its subsequent adaptations over the last 18 months.
She has identified, initiated, and established community outreach projects while shouldering the burden of administration. She is knowledgeable without being demonstrative. She is caring without being sanctimonious. She lets without being overbearing.
In short, Rachel has been an asset to me, the benefice, and the community, and your organisation should grasp the opportunity to have Rachel work for you.
